FINGERBOARDS FOR BAROQUE INSTRUMENTS

This fingerboard was conceived that you can make it fit to any measurement and any violin. Total length: 260mm, width at nut: 26mm, width at bridge: 44mm. The core of spruce covers the whole length, its width at nut: 18mm, its width at bridge: 36mm. On both long sides 4mm ebony is fixed, and the top ebony of 1,5mm is made of solid wood - no veneer - slightly hollow.

Any measurement can be changed optionally.

The steps to fit the fingerboard can start with cutting the right neck stop length at nut end; step two is to cut the total length from the bridge end. At last you can plane the 4mm ebony at both long sides.

This fingerboard was conceived that you can make it fit to any measurement and any viola. Total length: 280mm, width at nut: 28mm, width at bridge: 48mm. The core of spruce covers the whole length, its width at nut: 18mm, its width at bridge: 38mm. On both long sides 5mm ebony is fixed, and the top ebony of 1,5mm is made of solid wood - no veneer - slightly hollow.

On both long sides 5mm ebony is fixed, and the top ebony of 2mm is made of solid wood - no veneer - slightly hollow.
